Backers' 3-fractions starscreen machines are ideal for processing construction waste, compost, top soil, biomass or wood chips. They can sift out oversize grain, medium grain and fine grain from the feed material. In addition, the Backers 3-fractions starscreen system can be equipped with a bar grate to pre-separate very coarse material fractions.
The screening process
The material is fed into the starscreen machine hopper. First of all, the material is transferred to the coarse screen. This step is especially important because the sticky material is being loosened for the fine screen deck. The medium/fine grain is fed to the base belt and then transferred to the second starscreen flat and dosed . At this location, fine and medium grain is separated according to the principle of the 2-fractions starscreen machines. Optimal screening sizes: 5 mm – 80mm.
Backers starscreen machines:
Ensuring less wear: The entire material is conveyed over the short/coarse screen deck only.
High screening performance: The material is loosened before it is fed to the second screen deck for fine screening.
Better medium and fine grain results thanks to dosed feeding of the material.
